Hi, I am Anna. I have been studying for the CCNA test, but feel I need additional training to pass the test. I have been a Network Administrator for many years, but have not taken any tests for certification. I don't want to go for distance learning as I need someone who can teach me all the points clearly. Can someone recommend me a few institutes that provide high-quality instructor led training?

Hi Anna,

like the previous person who posted I went the Koenig route also. Doing the regular track plus 2 days hands on experience I was brought up to speed in 11 days(Saturdays are a school day too!) . Even the regular track is pretty full on so be prepared to work and study in the evenings. I failed the test on my first attempt but thats because I was focused on getting the core concepts and as much hands on as possible, not just being a 'paper CCNA'. After reviewing the material and doing some practice questions I was ready for the exam and passed easily.
Check the student reviews to see if its for you - I think the reviews are pretty honest and don't hide some of the issues you may run into living in India. Overall I think you'll find the staff at the school helpful and the teaching of a very high standard, just remember you'll be staying in a developing country and set your expectations as such.
I stayed in Delhi, and for a one to two week course I think that this is fine - any longer its best to head to Shimla or Dehradun which is what I'll do next time. Financially its more worthwhile for longer stays when you factor in the cost of air tickets. For my situation I had a job interview involving a technical test and CCNA was the minimum so I only did the CCNA course so I could hurry back for the interview- I nailed the technical test by the way! You may find that doing the CCNP as well might be the way to go if you have the time.
Make sure you do some reading of the material and have a good understanding of subnetting before you go as this will really help and was something I didn't do!
Best of luck with your studies
